HOTEL OFELIA PORTRAIT
Category: Editorial / Model: Line / Location: Copenhagen
I took this picture at the gorgeous Ofelia hotel in Copenhagen, and I wanted to give it a cinematic feel. I used some creative lighting to enhance the setting and make the photo more dramatic. To add to the Hollywood-style vibe I was going for, I had the model wear different wigs in the shoot. Overall, I’m really happy with how the photo turned out and I think it captures the atmosphere of the hotel perfectly.
BUSINESS PORTRAIT
Category: Protrait / Model: Christoffer / Location: Copenhagen
I took this picture to be featured in the Danish business paper ‘Børsen’. The photo was shot at Ramboll headquarters in Copenhagen. Christoffer Quist is a business angel and investor, and he is the man behind several tech start-ups. The location at Ramboll was perfect for the shoot as the light source is a big panorama window and no other lights were used to take this photo.
ACTOR PORTRAIT
Category: Protrait / Model: Albert / Location: Copenhagen
The Danish actor Albert Amiryan, who played Omar in the Danish movie about the terror attack at Krudttønden, has been selected as upcoming talent in Europe. He is among nine different upcoming actors featured in the selection. The photoshoot aimed for a simple but strong look that conveyed a gentle yet powerful character. To achieve this, a single softbox was used to create a deep shadow on one side of his face, which emphasized his facial features.
KID PORTRAIT – CONTRAST & POP
Category: Portrait / Model: Anjelica / City: Copenhagen
I recently captured a beautiful portrait of my friend’s daughter, which required minimal retouching thanks to her naturally flawless skin. During the same shoot, I also took some stunning mother-daughter portraits, which you can find in the portraits section. For lighting, I relied on a single large softbox to create a soft, flattering effect. To make the yellow t-shirt stand out, I opted for a teal background, adding depth and contrast to the final image.
THE RED LOOK
Category: Editorial / Model: Line / City: Copenhagen
Last night was amazing! I took a picture and retouched it to enhance the red tones in the image. I used a red wig and some red-toned lip gloss to create contrast with the cool teal tones in the background. The result made the image pop and gave it a cinematic look. The picture was taken with a cinema camera, and I mostly color-graded it, using only a small amount of Photoshop. cinematic look. PODCAST KEYVISUAL IMAGE
Category: Commercial / Model: Maria & Gerd / City: Copenhagen
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Maria and Gerd at their apartment, where I captured a stunning image against their pristine white wall. This image was specifically crafted to serve as the key visual for their podcast, as well as to be utilized in social media content and within the podcast app itself. It was an enjoyable day filled with laughter and engaging storytelling, as it’s always a pleasure to collaborate with friends.
HDR STYLE BEAUTY & SKIN
Category: Beauty / Model: Izabella / City: Copenhagen
I had the pleasure of collaborating with Izabella at my home studio to capture images that required intense focus and precise attention to detail. The photoshoot demanded a delicate balance of sensuality and purity, with specific areas of the skin requiring careful retouching. Although the end result had a slight hint of an HDR look, I was satisfied with how the final image turned out.
CAR BACKSEAT IMAGE
Category: Editorial / Model: Line / City: Copenhagen
I recently created a California-inspired desert look, taking inspiration from classic movies set in the region. To achieve this look, we went to a large parking lot, taking advantage of the sunshine to capture the perfect shot. During the editing process, I used Photoshop to cut out the windows and incorporate an image of the California desert into the scene, helping to create a realistic look. I was careful to retain the natural warmth of the sun on the skin in certain areas, further enhancing the overall effect.
HDR DYNAMIC PORTRAIT
Category: Portrait / Model: Izabella / City: Copenhagen
In my earlier years as a photographer, I experimented extensively with the HDR technique to achieve a striking, intense look. I relished pushing the contrast and highlights to their limits, sometimes bordering on a plastic or even cartoon-like appearance. It was a challenging skill to refine as it was all too easy to go overboard and ruin the image. However, when executed successfully, the outcome was truly remarkable. Rest assured, I plan to play more with this style in my future work, so stay tuned for the next version.
